About Education

AP Degree Program in Chemical and Biotechnical Science is a two-year full-time Higher Educational program qualifying the graduates for key functions within a number of trades and industries. Typical areas of work include control laboratories, research and development laboratories both in the manufacturing sector, and at universities and other research institutes.

The graduates, the Chemical and Biotechnical Analysts are qualified for planning, managing and implementing analytical work and results within both chemical and biotechnological areas.

Learning style

The program  is theory-based and job-oriented, i.e. it aims at qualifying students for solving practical problems on an analytical basis. Theory is constantly targeted towards practical application in the industry. The students work in teams both in the theoretical lessons and in the laboratory. The teaching alternates between general subjects and projects. Often theoretical lessons, teamwork and laboratory work alternates during one day. The focus is both on the subjects and the students` ability to work together to solve problems. The teachers act as consultants for the teams. The students must be active in the lessons, the project work and the consultancies with the teachers. To ensure that the content of the study is as relevant and close to professional practice as possible, project assignments will often be based on authentic cases from companies.

The first 3 semesters (1½ year), the students must complete a compulsory work placement in a relevant company for the duration of at least 6 months (practical training).

Job opportunities

Typical areas of work include control laboratories, research and development laboratories both in the manufacturing sector, and at universities and other research institutes.

Further education

A completed program  gives access to and credits for higher studies in Denmark as well as internationally.

Uzņemšanas noteikumi

• Angļu valoda pieņemamā līmenī,
• Matemātika pieņemamā līmenī
• Biologija, fizika vai ķīmija pieņemamā līmenīm,
• Vidusskolas atestāts.

Pieteikties uz studijām var arī pirms ir saņemts vidusskolas atestāts un centralizēto eksāmenu rezultāti. Vidusskolas atestāts ir jāiesniedz līdz 25. jūlijam.

Pieteikšanās

Pieteikšanās notiek nosūtot sekojošus dokumentus:

1. pieteikuma anketu,
2. motivācijas vēstule angļu valodā (plašāk lasi šeit),
3. vidusskolas pēdējās liecības kopju vai sekmju izrakstu, ja tu šobrīd studē vai esi beidzis studijas augstskolā (plašāk lasi šeit),
4. dokuments par angļu valodas zināšanām (plašāk lasi šeit),
5. CV angļu valodā,
6. pases kopija.

Studiju sākums

Pieteikšanās uz studiju programmām, kas sākas augustā un septembrī notiek līdz 15. martam. Uz studiju programmām, kas sākas janvārī un februārī, pieteikšanās notiek līdz 1. decembrim.
