About Education

The Bachelor Programme of Civil Engineering provides you with skills and knowledge needed to manage structural calculations, drawings, soil mechanics, road design and calculations.

Civil engineering is an international profession that involves the design, construction, operation and improvement of the built environment. Civil engineers provide the technical expertise and management skills to plan, design, construct and maintain such facilities as buildings, bridges, water supply systems, waste treatment systems, road and rail networks, air and sea ports in a sustainable manner to reduce the impact on the environment.

Learning style

The teaching philosophy implies a combination of theory lessons, assignments and project work predominantly carried out in groups of 3 to 5 students. This concept develops in addition to qualifications within design, technology and management also personal competences such as: communicative skills, skills within coordination and cooperation, team work skills, management skills, analytical skills, quality attitude.

Job opportunities

The flexibility of the programme and the variety of electives allow you to create the degree that will prepare you for the career you want.

As a Civil Engineer you may find jobs in areas such as management of projects, including financial and legal aspects or highway engineering, infrastructure, traffic, soil mechanics and harbour engineering. If you have chosen structural design as your specialization you will work on design and calculations of structures in concrete, steel timber and masonry. You could also work in areas with focus on groundwater, sewage systems as well as streams and lakes.

• Matemātika pieņemamā līmenī
• Vidusskolas atestāts

Pieteikties uz studijām var arī pirms ir saņemts vidusskolas atestāts un centralizēto eksāmenu rezultāti. Vidusskolas atestāts ir jāiesniedz līdz 25. jūlijam.

Pieteikšanās

Pieteikšanās notiek līdz 15. martam, pēc tam līdz pat 1. jūlijam var pieteikties uz brīvajām studiju vietām!

Pieteikšanās notiek nosūtot sekojošus dokumentus:

1. pieteikuma anketu (lejupladēt anketu),
2. motivācijas vēstule angļu valodā (plašāk lasi šeit),
3. vidusskolas pēdējās liecības kopju vai sekmju izrakstu, ja tu šobrīd studē vai esi beidzis studijas augstskolā (plašāk lasi šeit),
4. dokuments par angļu valodas zināšanām (plašāk lasi šeit),
5. pases kopija.
