The Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development programme is an advanced course based on the Computer Science programme. The programme is ideal for you, if you would like to take part in the design and construction of large data-heavy distributed IT systems. As a Bachelor of Software Development you know how to handle the back-end part of big distributed IT systems based on large databases.

About Education

The Bachelor of Software Development lasts 3½ years. It consists of 2 parts: the first 2 ½ years correspond to an AP degree in Computer Science or Multimedia Designer or equivalent and the last 1 – 1½ years is a top-up programme leading to the Bachelor Degree.

The focus of the programme is to build large, distributed, data-heavy IT systems – subjects that were the focus of the 3rd semester of the Computer Science programme.

Job opportunities

The competences you acquire as a Professional Bachelor in Software Development will be particularly relevant for companies with a great need for integration of IT systems, in which IT systems are critical to business survival; they will also be relevant in situations where development projects involve various types of outsourcing.

Uzņemšanas noteikumi

Bachelor:

1. Angļu valoda pieņemamā līmenī
2. Matemātika pieņemamā līmenī
3. Vidusskolas atestāts

Bachelor Top-up:

1. AP degree diplomams vienā no sekojošajiem studiju virzieniem: Multimedia Design, Computer Science,
2. iegūti vismaz 120 kredītpunkti (120 ECTS) no iepriekšējās izglītības iestādes atbilstošā studiju virzienā,
3. 1. līmeņa augstākās izglitības diplomas,
4. pabeigtai cita līdzvērtīga izglītības programma.

Pieteikšanās

Pieteikšanās notiek nosūtot sekojošus dokumentus:

1. pieteikuma anketu (lejupladēt anketu),
2. motivācijas vēstule angļu valodā (plašāk lasi šeit),
3. vidusskolas pēdējās liecības kopju vai sekmju izrakstu, ja tu šobrīd studē vai esi beidzis studijas augstskolā (plašāk lasi šeit),
4. dokuments par angļu valodas zināšanām (plašāk lasi šeit),
5. pases kopija.
