Value Chain Management

About Education

In comparison with other traditional business educations, the Value Chain Management education differs by not focusing that much on economics, budgeting and accounting, although it do work with these areas. In return, the programme goes more into depth with topics such as cost theory, international financing and logistics, whereas topics such as strategy/organization, marketing and investment are at the same level as in other business educations.

Having completed the Value Chain Manager programme, you will have a thorough understanding of how the technical production is linked to economics and financing, logistics and distribution, as well as management, marketing and customer care

The course

The programme covers seven semesters (3½ years) and the curriculum is built around themes which lead you toward two profiles:

1. Global business development or
2. Information technology and production management

Every semester covers a theme which will lead you to know the whole supply chain at the end of your education.

The themes are:

1. Market-oriented supply chain management
2. From customer order to production plan
3. Optimising the production layout
4. Optimising the value chain
5. Profile theme

All subjects in each semester will help you get a deeper understanding of the challenges in each theme. Each semester will be finalised with a semester project which will enable you to work with the theme in companies either in Denmark or in another country.

Learning style

The academic year is divided into two semesters. Each semester has a duration of 20 weeks. Lectures are carried out in the first 15-16 weeks from the start of the semester and examinations take place during the final 3-4 weeks. Each semester ends up with a project which is made in collaboration with a company.

Lectures start at 8.20 a.m. every day from Monday to Friday. The mornings are devoted to the teaching of theory in classes of 25-30 students. The afternoons are used for reading theory, project work and assignments.

Job opportunities

After completion of Value Chain Management programme graduates can find jobs as Business Consultants, Planning Managers, Purchasing Managers, Logistics Managers or Production Managers.

Pieteikšanās

Pieteikšanās notiek līdz 15. martam, pēc tam līdz pat 1. jūlijam var pieteikties uz brīvajām studiju vietām!

2. motivācijas vēstule angļu valodā (plašāk lasi šeit),
3. vidusskolas pēdējās liecības kopju vai sekmju izrakstu, ja tu šobrīd studē vai esi beidzis studijas augstskolā (plašāk lasi šeit),
4. dokuments par angļu valodas zināšanām (plašāk lasi šeit),
5. pases kopija.
