Bachelors of Architectural Technology and Construction Management are the professionals, who are able to participate in and coordinate the building process at all levels from concept to completion in the broadest sense. This includes new buildings as well as the renovation.
During the studies you are able to specialize in design consultancy, facilities management and construction management. BIM (building information modeling) is an integrated part of the education, since we strongly believe that this is an essential and very important driver, which will have a strong impact on the future development and progression of the building industry.

The subjects of the programme are divided into 5 core areas:
The core area “General” helps the student develop the knowledge, skills and competencies in construction business, production, design and registration.
The area includes: communication and foreign language, organization, cooperation, information technology, innovation, science, general mathematical and principles of building physics.
The area “Business” learns about organizing, managing and administrating construction businesses.
The area includes: operation of small businesses, administration, legislation and jury prudence.
The area “Production” learns about planning, controlling and managing production processes within the construction industry, and be able to understand the social and technological aspects of production.
The area includes: production and civil engineering work, production and project management.,
The “Design” area is about building principles, styles, construction methods and materials, and being able to evaluate and select best design solutions
The area includes: construction design and project management.
The area “Registration” focuses on legal issues and tasks related to registration of buildings and geographic district planning.
The area includes: the setting out of buildings and structures and evaluation of buildings and structures.
The 6th semester is targeted to 20 weeks internship in Denmark or abroad.
You have excellent opportunities to give your studies an adventurous touch by going abroad and do your internship in another country. You can find your international internship yourself or choose one of the companies your university cooperates with. Students often choose to go to New Zealand, China and other Asian countries. You can also choose an internship in your own country.
The programme is theory-based and job-oriented, i.e. it aims at qualifying students for solving practical problems on an analytical basis.
FOCUS ON TEAM WORK
Teaching varies between lectures and classroom instruction. Theory is constantly targeted towards practical application in the industry. Students work primarily in teams, and all the semesters are based heavily on project work.
Constructing Architects are main actors during the whole process from idea to the final stage of the project, including digital programmes and systems.
Constructing Architects are qualified for designing, planning, managing and implementing processes and tasks in the building and construction sector, including digital programmes and systems.
The graduates of Bachelors of Architectural Technology and Construction Management are able to:
- Understand the societal, ethical, cultural and technical factors that influence the construction process,
- Asses the business and organizational issues within building industry,
- Manage the technical conditions in the design of buildings, including the aspects of energy, environment and sustainability in local and global perspective,
- Manage communication between users, developers, consultants, designers and contractors about the technical design, procurement, and execution of construction and civil engineering works,
A completed programme gives access to and credits for further studies at Master’s level in Denmark as well as internationally.
